淺青色,清如水,
礦物香氣及輕微檸檬香,
口感酸度低,一般。


About the domaine:
There in Pouilly-Fuisse, hyphenated to include the communes of Pouilly, Fuisse, Vergison, Solutre and Chaintre, is the 20 acre property known as DOMAINE DE LA SOUFRANDISE. Family ownership goes back to 1853 and the current winemakers, Nicolas and Francoise Melin, took it over in 1986. Vines that Nicolas inherited were between 25 and 60 years of age. As such, yields are tiny at Soufrandises, but concentration abounds.

算健康, 但走下坡, 只有少少陳酒香, 入口沒有果。

1978 Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou Saint Julien
松露香及berry香吸引, 入口仍有火力, 好飲。

1995 Chateau Branaire Ducru Saint Julien

Condition 似乎有問題, 大陣皮味, 入口ok, 但finish短。

1990 Chateau Branaire Ducru 2nd Wine Duluc Saint Julien
出奇地平衡, 果子陳皮梅香吸引, 入口仍有果甜, 好飲。

1999 Chateau Gruaud Larose Saint Julien
有少少花香, 黑莓香, 入口幾full, 好飲。

1997 Chateau Leoville Las Cases Clos du Marquis Saint Julien
很熟, 草莓香, 入口酸度高, 一般。

2001 Chateau Latour Pauillac Les Forts de Latour
很濃咖啡香, 入口算滑, ok。

2002 CLos de los Siete Argentina
酒精嗆鼻, 入口很甜, 像port, without complexity, 不喜歡。

NV Deutz Demi Sec Champagne
微甜, 只有微弱梨香, 一般。

青黃色,亮麗,顏色完全不像有三十二年歷史,
香氣主要是水梨和礦物香,還有一點蜜臘香味,
入口較清淡,酸度在餘韻才顯現。
酒液狀態只像陳年十載,很可能在低溫環境下存放。

很可憐!



圖片來自今期香港壹週刊有關室內設計的文章,圖片說明如下:「車先生是紅酒的發燒友,家裡單是放不常飲的酒櫃,已可放接近三百支,認真厲害!」

看到這幀圖片,有說不出的心酸,很可憐這位車先生,不常喝的酒放在有24小時空調的房間,常喝的又放在那裡呢?


再過幾年,開一瓶喝喝看,期望變絕望,真的很可憐!

今晚趕快回家!



今天是農曆七月十四,也是盂蘭節。相傳每年由農曆七月初起,地獄的鬼門關會開放一個月,陰間的無主孤魂都會湧到陽間,徘徊於任何人跡可到的地方找東西吃。

所以人們紛紛在七月?以誦經作法等事舉行「普渡」以普遍超渡孤魂,恐防它們為禍社區,又或祈求鬼魂幫助治病和保佑家宅平安,用紙錢、衣紙、香燭、米、豆腐和芽菜等東西去祭祀遊魂野鬼。

Kiona Vineyards was founded by John and Ann Williams with former partners in 1972 with the purchase of 86 acres of raw land in the arid climate of Southeastern Washington. The initial Kiona production in 1980 was 504 cases, compared to the 25,000 cases produced in 2002. With the talented team of Scott Williams and Glen Fukuyama, recent growth has been concentrated on producing world-class wines. The result of this effort is now available in the market. The Red Mountain area, pioneered by Kiona Vineyards, is considered one of the prime growing regions in Washington State. There are currently several wineries nearby. Numerous vineyards with excellent reputations for quality have been developed in the Red Mountain area.

小心! 小心!



香港中文大學醫學院過去6年研究21名曾經中暑的病人,除因高溫及進行劇烈活動,發現部分人在中暑前,曾服用精神科藥物或飲酒。例如曾經服食會影響身體調節體溫的藥物,包括部份精神科藥物或利尿劑,致血管收縮,影響散熱及有水份流失。另外,高溫下飲用酒精飲品,亦會導致脫水及抑壓中樞神經系統,建議巿民使用有關藥物宜先徵詢醫生意見。

胖子有救了




香港中文大醫學院研究治療肥胖症的方法,
利用內視鏡將一個可以注入鹽水的矽膠水球放入胃部,
以減少胃的容量。

接受這種減肥方法試驗的48人中,大部分感到滿意,
6個月後平均減去一成半體重,平均腰圍亦縮減近13厘米。

中大醫學院表示,這種治療方法的優點,
是可以於門診和不需麻醉的情況下進行,
甚少出現併發症,一些嘔吐和噁心的徵狀,療程亦很短暫。
不過,這種方法不適合胃部或消化腸道有問題的人士。

2003 Maison Louis Max Chablis St Jean

檸檬柑桔香,
入口酸度低, 完全沒有果味,
淡如水, 一點冰涼的礦物味也沒有,
零餘韻, 失敗。


About the Maison:
Maison Louis Max was founded in 1859 by Yevgeny Louis Max, son of a wine trader from Georgia, Russia. According to family tradition,Yevgeny's father had as a young man fought in the army of the Czar, and after Napoleon's defeat in 1815, visited the vineyards of Burgundy before returning home. His tales of adventure, in France and in particular Burgundy, fired his son's imagination to such an extent that he grew determined that when an adult, he too would see those mythical vineyards.

Arriving in Beaune with some family knowledge of wine and lots of youthful enthusiasm, he set up his own trading company. Since that time, four generations of Max's have succeeded the founder : Theodore, Louis, Marcel and - since 1976- Laurent the current president.

Maison Louis Max is a producer of wines from its own vineyards as well Louis Max Wine Estate as a Negociant-Eleveur, having bought the beautiful Domaine de la Marche estate in Mercurey, with 67 acres of prime vineyard sites in the Mercurey and Mercurey 1er Cru appelations. The company also has contracts with wine growers totalling some 250 acres meticulously chosen in some of the best appelations of Chablis, Nuits St. Georges, Meursault, Clos de Vougeot, Volnay and Beaune.

Satorare



每個星期天都躲在家裡看電視,正在追看一齣名叫《心靈感應》的日劇。坦白講,劇中沒有俊男美女,男主角(小田切讓)和女主角(鶴田真由)樣貌平凡,最標緻的只是小池榮子而已,唯故事情節尚算感人。

男主角里見健一,自出娘胎就與眾不同,在他 10 米內的人都可聽到其心聲,不能隱藏半點秘密,所思所想皆暴露於人前,每天站在舞台,赤裸裸的給觀眾看過透徹,這種特能人稱為 Satorare。里見自小得到國家秘密保護,長大後當上醫師,其異能給醫院了不少麻煩,但也造就了一段姻緣。

口感偏甜, 酸度低, 有點俗氣, 不夠 Pure。

Central Otago is New Zealand's youngest and most dynamic wine region. Our first release was in 1998, and in this short period we have already gained international recognition. The largest quartz reef deposit in New Zealand lies beneath the vines at Bendigo Station. From 1862 the historic town of Bendigo was mined. Now the sun-drenched north facing slopes are set to become famous again - for the production of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chauvet - the methode traditionelle of Quartz Reef. There are currently 15ha under cultivation. The Quartz Reef corporate identity represents the heart of the company and reflects the vision, passion and commitment to the wines. The 'c' stands for Chauvet and the 'b' stands for Bauer. These elements embody the South Pacific influence, and the blue wave represents Lake Dunstan. Clotilde Chauvet, Rudi Bauer, Trevor Scott and John Perriam are principal partners. 口感濃郁兼木桶味重,

Te Mata Estate is New Zealand's oldest winery, dating from the early 1890. It is a New Zealand family owned winery's a true estate, specialising in grape growing and winemaking from its ten Hawke's Bay vineyards. Acknowledged as one of only five icon wineries in New Zealand. Te Mata completely handmade wines are renowned as the country's finest. Under the direction of John Buck, Te Mata Estate has, over nearly thirty years, produced a stunning array of red and white wines including such famous labels as Coleraine and Awatea Cabernet/Merlots, Bullnose Syrah, Elston Chardonnay and Cape Crest Sauvignon Blanc. 這叫做極品



1989 Chateau Haut Brion Graves

Condition 相當好,酒塞一點紅;沒有 Decant ,直接下杯;寶紅色,只有邊沿呈現淡褐色,帶著松露、松子油、烏梅、茶葉、香料、煙燻的香氣、單是香氣已複雜得無話可說。口感也很豐富,很滑,有絲絲果甜,相當平衡,餘韻悠長。

厲害,精緻,雖有陳酒的香味,但酒體很壯健,應該形容為「年青有為」,抑或「老有所為」較恰當呢?。喝 Bordeaux,很久沒有這種驚為天人的感覺,上兩次是多年前喝 1961 Chateau Gruaud Larose 和 1990 Chateau Montrose 的時候了。

希望還有機會喝熟透的 1989 Chateau Haut Brion 吧。

小雞二重奏



昨天喝了兩支不俗的 Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux 紅白酒,由該區知名莊園 Chateau Suau 出品,以 Duo 二重奏命名,酒標上的圖案,像雞也像雛鳥。

這系列用上 Screwcap,售價低廉(惠康超巿HK$99,現買滿 HK$300,打八折),是很划算的 Daily Wine。

2002 Duo @ Chateau Suau Bordeaux Rouge Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux
似乎有 Malbec,煮櫻桃和香料的香氣,口感稍甜。

2003 Duo @ Chateau Suau Bordeaux Blanc Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux
淺黃色,蜜糖及熱帶水果香吸引,酸度較低,簡單可口。

(5) Petrus Mini Vertical & 1990 Bordeaux Horizontal

大概是從上次喝 Leroy 和 Bordeaux 四大開始,酒友們興起拍賣酒標!對,即使酒是你帶來的,只要閣下參加品酒會,一律充公酒瓶,拍賣給有收集酒標嗜好的老友,得來的善款用以補貼膳食費用。以上次 Leroy 和 Bordeaux 四大為例,拍賣掉十多個空瓶,善款總數竟超過 HK$1100,足夠下次聚會的餐費。

今次也不例外,席上有幾位老友有收集酒標的嗜好,小弟乃其中之一。除了分別拍賣 1997、1999、2001 Petrus、1997 Haut Brion Blanc,還以一組形式拍賣 1990 Bordeaux Horizontal。

拍賣開始,先來個 97 Petrus 熱身,底價 HK$50,出價聲始起彼落,到 $100 時遇阻力,反應越來越慢,大家都在試探高位,心想即使投不了 97,還有 99,2001 在後頭。經過一輪拖拉,最終由 Dr. Snake 以 HK$130 投得。

緊接是 99 Petrus,參考 97 的成交價,主持人把底價提高至 HK$100,競投情況依然熱烈,不到三秒便超過 97 的成交價。包括小弟在內,有四位仁兄互相爭持,但當競投超過 HK$150 時,我決定放棄了,而沒有集收酒標嗜好的老友Y則加入戰幔,主要是托價,盡量把成交價提高,讓成功投得酒標的老友補貼眾人餐費。可恨的是,他出價 HK$200 時,竟然再沒有老友承價。HK$200,成交!得物無所用的老友Y只好乖乖繳款。

2001 Petrus,最活躍的兩位老友:B教授及 Sir Ma 繼續競投,小弟這次充當老友Y的角色,不斷托價。喊到 HK$200時...中計了,兩位仁兄突然封口,01 Petrus 歸我所有。壞心腸的人終歸害人終害己,補貼銀碼冠絕全場。

至於 1997 Haut Brion Blanc 和一組五瓶的 1990 Bordeaux 都是以百多元的價錢成交,庫房總共收得七百多港元,成績較預期中差。

這個遊戲其實很公平,每人心中都有一柄尺,量度付出的代價與所得利益是否相符。投得酒標的老友固然開心,競投失敗的和沒有此嗜好的觀眾也可獲減免餐費,皆大歡喜。然而,以後再辦品酒會,愛好收集酒標的我就要計算多一項成本。

生病了嗎?



暑熱襲人, 終於倒下,
上星期五開始, 身體時冷時熱,
睡到中午,仍然不醒人事,
去玩的興緻全失,
除了周六晚慶祝岳母生辰,
這幾天都乖乖在家休息,
明天就要上班了, 情況不見得好轉.
