The Providence vineyard is located in Matakana, 20 kilometers north from Auckland. Their first vintage was produced in 1993 with only 250 cases. Absolute nothing is added to the wine. All wines have elegance, length, complexity and finesse and can be described as one of the best Merlots made in the new world.

The Two Hands estate was founded in 1999 with the clear objective of making the best possible Shiraz wines based on the best grapes produced from the best vineyards in Australia. In 2000 they started with just 17 tons of grapes from the McLaren Vale and Padthaway wine regions. From the beginning the wines were very well received, culminating in 2004 with Robert M. Parker describing Two Hands as "the finest wine operation south of the equator". The heart of the operation is based in Barossa Valley. The cellar and winery are located in the sub district of Marananga.
